* Working with SmartArts *
⇨ In this chapter, we will learn how to insert SmartArt in Microsoft Word.
It is a new group of editable and formatted graphical diagrams. There are 115 preset SmartArt graphics layout
templates such as list, process, cycle, Matrix, Pyramid etc. When
SmartArt is inserted, a Text Pane appears next to it and it guides the user for entering text. This chapter will teach us how to change
SmartArt colors, fonts, shapes , effects etc. So lets go:
⇨ How to Insert Smart Art?
a) Press the cursor at proper position.
b) Click on SmartArt Icon from Insert Tab under Illustrations group.
c) There you can find lots of style like- List, Process, Cycle, Hierarchy, Matrix, Pyramid etc. Select any style from list. Here we have selected Cycle.
d) After selecting click on ok.
e) Type any text as your need.
f) We can change various types of SmartArt's design. To do so we have to click on Design Tab then SmartArt Styles.
g) Then select any style. Here we have selected 3 - D style.
* Now its time to change color. It will help to make your document more attractive as well as more understandable.
h) Click on Design Tab and then Change Colors.
* There we can find lots of color and color style. Choose any one from them as your need.
i) If you need more shapes to add then Click on Design Tab. After that click on Add Shape icon. From there you can choose Add Shape After or Before or Above or Below according your need.
* Now we will learn how to Reset Graphic. To do so you have to follow the steps bellow:
a) Click on Design Tab and then Reset Graphic from Reset group. It will reset all the SmartArt Styles, Colors etc.
* Now we will learn how to change shapes on SmartArt?
a) At first you have to select the Shape on which you want to change the Shape.
b) Click on Format Tab.
c) Then click on Change Shape. There you can find different types of shapes . Choose any shapes.
* Now its time to change Shape Style.
a) Select the newly changed Shape.
b) Click on Format Tab and then Shape Styles.
c) Select any Shape Styles.
* You can also add Shape Effect.
a) Select the newly changed Shape.
b) Click on Format Tab and then Shape Effects.
* There you can find different types of effects. Here we have given Glow Effect to the Shape.
⇨ How to delete SmartArt?
a) Select the SmartArt.
b) Then press Delete Key from the keyboard.
