A-Z Shortcut of MSWord












* Cut, Copy and Paste *


* In this chapter, we will learn how to use Cut, Copy and Paste in Microsoft Word. Microsoft word allows us to use these option in many needs. We don't have to retype text each time. Cut and paste and Copy and Paste are two separate options that allow us to move or copy text, numbers, and graphics to another location or to make duplicate. It sometimes become very necessary to do so. Now we will learn how to change a font and its size. So, lets start:


Cut and paste:

✓ The Cut option allows us to delete the selected items and temporarily place them on the MS-Office Clipboard.
✓ The MS-Office Clipboard is a temporary storage area in the computer.
✓ The Paste option allows us to get the items from the MS-Office Clipboard and place them in another location, may be in the same file or another file.

Copy and paste:

✓ The Copy option allows us to copy the selected items and temporarily place them on the MS-Office Clipboard.
✓ The MS-Office Clipboard is a temporary storage file.
✓ The Paste option allows us to get the items from the Clipboard and place them where we want.


** The main difference is: Cut Paste moves the original from one place to another, but whereas Copy Paste makes a duplicate copy of the original.

⇨ How to use Cut, Copy and Paste?

1.
    a) At first write down any text.

    b) Select the text.

    c) Click on Home tab.

    d) Click on Copy or Cut from Clipboard option.





    e) Then move the coursor where you want to paste (by left clicking on the desire place).

    f) Click on Paste drop down option.

    g) Then click on Keep Source Formatting option.

⇨ We can also use these option by Right click.

    a) At first write down any text.

    b) Select the text.

    c) Right click on the selected item.

    d) Then click on Copy or Cut option.

    e) Then move the coursor where you want to paste (by left clicking on the desire place).

    f) Click on Paste option.

    g) Then click on Keep Source Formatting option.

⇨ We can also use ShortCut.

CTRL + C = Copy.
CTRL + X = Cut.
CTRL + V = Paste.
